One comment I'll make here is that the boy's t-shirt is significant, in that the subtext is that he (like me) was a big animal enthusiast, so winning the zoo was the ultimate dream come true. The Keeper giving him the Koala is symbolic of all the animals that will go home with him, and it's special because those who raised me know how much I loved Australia and all things from there.
